COVID-19 Updates

Due to European regulations (which are subject to change), you must be vaccinated to go on an escorted tour with AT Escapes.  Be prepared with your vaccination documents before you travel.

Travelers from the United States may enter many of our European destinations if they are asymptomatic AND present the following:

• An Anti-COVID 19 vaccination certificate for a European Medicines Agency (EMA)-recognized vaccine.  At present, EMA recognizes the following vaccines: Pfizer-BioNtech, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, AstraZeneca and Novavax.
• The date of the last dose of the primary vaccination series must be at least 14 days prior to travel and no more than 270 days before arrival. Booster shots can be administered any time – even the day prior to travel. 
• Travelers vaccinated in the United States can prove this via the “white card” bearing the CDC logo.

In some European destinations, passengers may NO LONGER be required to complete the online  EU Digital Passenger Locator Form (dPLF) (euplf.eu)

At present, all passengers returning to the US are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 24 hours before travel, or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days before they board their flight. The CDC Website has more information on the requirement for proof of negative COVID-19 test or recovery from COVID-19 for all air passengers arriving in the United States.

Many hotels offer an in-house testing service for departing guests. In addition, there are public and private clinics, as well as many pharmacies, that can perform PCR or antigen Covid tests with almost immediate results.  

Airlines must confirm the negative test result or documentation of recovery for all passengers before boarding. 

While in Europe, masks will still be required in some museums and on buses.
